Billing and plans
How does pricing work?
Donateazy offers tiered plans: Free, Starter, Growth, and Pro. Each plan has different limits for donors, donations, and features. You can view and compare plans on the Pricing page. Upgrades take effect immediately.
How do I upgrade my plan?
Go to Billing in your dashboard. You'll see your current plan and available upgrades. Click 'Upgrade' next to the plan you want. You'll be billed the prorated difference for the remaining billing period.
Compliance
How do I file the 10BD annual return?
Go to Compliance > 10BD / FCRA Pack. Click 'Export 10BD Data'. The system will generate a CSV file with all receipted donations for the financial year, formatted per CBDT requirements. You can upload this directly to the Income Tax portal.
How does FCRA tracking work?
Donateazy tracks foreign contributions separately. When recording a donation, mark it as a foreign contribution. The system maintains separate reports for FCRA compliance, and you can export FCRA filing data from the Compliance section.
Donations
How do I record an offline donation?
Go to Donations > click '+ New Donation'. Select the donor, enter the amount, choose the payment mode (cash, cheque, bank transfer), and set the status to 'Paid'. The donation will appear in your records immediately.
What payment modes are supported?
Donateazy supports: - UPI - Credit/Debit Card - Net Banking - Bank Transfer (NEFT/RTGS/IMPS) - Cash - Cheque - Other Online payments are processed through Razorpay integration.
How do I set up recurring donations?
Go to Recurring Donations > click '+ New Plan'. Define the plan name, amount, and frequency (monthly/quarterly/annual). Share the subscription link with donors, or set up recurring plans directly from a donor's profile.
Getting started
How do I set up my NGO on Donateazy?
After signing up, you'll be guided through the onboarding wizard. You'll need to provide: 1. Your NGO's legal name and PAN 2. Registration details (Trust/Society/Section 8) 3. 12A and 80G certificate status 4. Bank account details 5. Authorized signatory information Once completed, your dashboard will be fully active.
What documents do I need to get started?
You'll need: - PAN card of the organization - Registration certificate (Trust deed / Society registration / Section 8 incorporation) - 12A certificate (if available) - 80G certificate (if available) - Bank account details (account number, IFSC) - Authorized signatory details
How do I invite team members?
Go to Settings > Team Members. Click 'Invite Member', enter their email, and assign a role (Admin, Manager, or Viewer). They'll receive an invitation email to join your NGO's dashboard.
Compliance and receipts
How do I generate an 80G receipt?
Go to Digital Receipts. You'll see eligible donations (paid but not yet receipted) listed. Click 'Generate Receipt' next to the donation. The system will auto-fill donor details, donation amount, and your NGO's 80G information. You can email the receipt directly to the donor.
Can I customize the receipt format?
Yes. Go to Settings > Receipt Settings. You can: - Upload your NGO logo and seal - Set the authorized signatory name - Customize the receipt prefix and numbering - Add a custom thank-you message
Payments, data, and accounts
How do I use the API?
Go to API & Webhooks in your dashboard. Create an API token, then use it in the Authorization header of your requests. The API supports creating donations, managing donors, and receiving webhook events. Full documentation is available in the API settings page.
How do I import donor data?
Go to Donor Directory > click 'Import'. Download the CSV template, fill in your donor data, and upload the file. The system will validate the data and show any errors before importing. Duplicates are detected by email address.
